A vivid introduction to the pioneer of geometric abstraction.

Piet Mondrian (1872–1944) was a key figure in the international avant-garde and a founding member of the De Stijl movement. Known for his distinctive style of geometric abstraction, Mondrian used only primary colors, black lines, and a white background to create his vision of pure beauty. His work transcended mere aesthetics, aiming to represent universal harmony and order.

This concise and beautifully illustrated volume highlights Mondrian’s radical transformation of modern art. From his early figurative works to his mature abstract compositions, the book traces his journey towards a new art form—one that continues to inspire architecture, design, and fashion.

Among the featured works are his iconic compositions of straight lines and primary colours, each embodying his vision for a world in which art is integral to life itself.
