To make each print, Morton painted directly onto a glass plate and took a single printed impression. Morton then repainted into the residue of the last image on the glass plate, to create the next image, resulting in an evolving progression of unique prints. The artist has chosen a range of papers, varying across the edition, with each work including painterly hand finished details.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade during the process of creating paintings for her up coming exhibition at The Modern Institute (5 June - 5 September, 2026) and sharing the same title, the works are intrinsically linked. Hitting The Lift is also the title of a painting included in the exhibition and a track on the artist’s forthcoming LP.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the artist\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBased between Glasgow and Fossombrone, Italy, Victoria is an artist and musician whose innovative work across disciplines spans over three decades. Known for her explorative and expansive approach to painting, she has also undertaken collaborations, residencies and commissions extending into sculpture, textiles,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003esound and costume design.
